A lead is essential for safe outings, but harnesses and collars distribute force differently. A well-fitted harness spreads pressure across the chest and can offer greater control, especially for small dogs, dogs in training or pets that need additional support.
A collar is light and convenient for identification, but pulling can place pressure on the neck and airway. Dogs with respiratory or neck concerns may benefit from veterinary advice before choosing equipment.
Check the fit
